Hi, Jai! You wouldn’t say “I am attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, but you would say “I have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.” ADHD isn’t something you are even though people often say it that way. ADHD is a condition/disorder that you have.

Because it’s a disability. ADHD is a neurological disorder that hinders the way we function in everyday life. It can feel like an advantage when we’re doing well, but it also frequently stops us from taking care of ourselves.
