Kofi Obeng is the Executive Director of the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) and has been a member of the organization since 2019. Diagnosed with ADHD in his early twenties, Kofi is also the father of two young men with ADHD. His desire to support others like himself and his sons inspired him to begin volunteering with ADDA.

As a volunteer, Kofi served as an ADDA Ambassador, a Virtual Peer Support Group Leader for the African American/Black Diaspora + ADHD group, and provided project management leadership for several key initiatives. During the pandemic, ADDA’s membership nearly tripled, prompting the organization to rapidly expand its infrastructure, programs, and services to meet the needs of its growing community. During this period, Kofi was hired as Executive Director to lead ADDA’s transformation and strengthen its sustainability for the future.

Kofi holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has held leadership roles in engineering, operations, and product management across multiple industries. He brings together his lived experience with ADHD and his professional expertise to lead ADDA with empathy, vision, and purpose.
